Thomas Sandgaard has been the Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Zynex, Inc. since founding the company in 1996. He has previously held management positions with companies such as ITT, Siemens, GN Danavox, Dataco, and Philips.
Most of his work has been in the areas of international sales and distribution, technology transfers, mergers and marketing management in the semiconductor, telecommunications, data communications, and medical equipment industries.
Mr. Sandgaard has a degree in electronics engineering from Denmark’s Odense University of Engineering and an MBA from Copenhagen Business School. Mr. Sandgaard has an in-depth knowledge of the industry and is the driving force of the company strategies.
Donald Gregg
President, Zynex Monitoring Solutions
Donald is a customer-focused, entrepreneurial and results-driven leader at the intersection of high-tech, medical device and data science with 25+ years of successful product, marketing, P&L, and general management experience.
He has start-up to large multi-national company experience across several industries - Medical Device, Technology, and Consumer/Retail. He previously held leadership roles as Smith Medical's Vice President and General Manager of Infusion Systems and Medtronic's Senior Director of Product, Marketing and Business Development of Health Informatics and Monitoring.
Prior to leading businesses in the medical device industry, Donald spent 15+ years in the high-tech industry at Seagate Technology, Roxio, Napster, and Gateway Computers.
Donald holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Metropolitan State University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and executive education in Healthcare and Medical Technology Management from the University of St. Thomas.
Dan Moorhead
Chief Financial Officer
Dan Moorhead is the Chief Financial Officer and responsible for all finance and accounting functions. Prior to joining Zynex, Mr. Moorhead was Chief Financial Officer of Evolving Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: EVOL) from January 2016 until June 2017, after having served as Vice President of Finance & Administration from December 2011 through December 2015 and in other financial management roles from 2002-2005 and 2008-2011. Mr. Moorhead is a CPA and holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.
Tom Kennedy
Director Of Business Development
Tom Kennedy joined Zynex Monitoring Solutions as Director of Business Development and brings 25 years of experience in medical device sales, marketing, and corporate relationship development. He has held senior leadership positions in a variety of organizations, including Globus Medical, Smith & Nephew, Stryker and Maxxim Medical. Tom’s passion is leading new business growth and improving commercial operations. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Biology from Wichita State University.
Michael Cress
Michael Cress serves as Chairman & Managing Partner of MD Cress Ventures, a national firm that owns, operates, and advises companies within the healthcare sector. Michael also serves as Chairman of Rainier Healthcare. Prior to MD Cress Ventures he served as the President and CEO of the Cornerstone Healthcare Group which owns and manages hospitals throughout the country.
Mr. Cress also served as Vice President of Business Development for Kindred Healthcare, a publicly traded healthcare company that owns and operates hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation, pharmacy and other segments of the healthcare continuum. He served as the CEO of Vencor Hospital of San Diego and was also an Adjunct Professor for the Masters of Healthcare Administration program at the University of Kansas.
Mr. Cress serves on several not-for-profit boards to include Rachel’s Challenge and co-founded and serves on the board for The Neighborhood. He serves on the boards or advisory boards of several companies to include Linley Capital, BankSNB, Rainier Hospice and Sleep Research.
Barry Michaels
Barry Michaels has 40 years of financial and general management experience in the medical device and biotechnology industries with industry leaders including Medtronic, Johnson and Johnson, and Baxter Healthcare, as well as having served as President or Chief Financial Officer of seven emerging stage companies.
Most recently he served as a consultant to Organovo Holdings, Inc. after retiring therefrom in 2016, where he served as its Chief Financial Officer since 2011.
Mr. Michaels received an MBA with a concentration in finance from San Diego State University and is a graduate of the Executive Program at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management.
Josh Disbrow
Josh Disbrow has been in the life sciences industry for nearly twenty-five years across pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and medical devices. Josh co-founded Aytu BioPharma in 2015 and serves as the Aytu’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He took the company public, having led Aytu’s listing on NASDAQ in 2017.
Prior to co-founding Aytu, Josh was the Chief Operating Officer of Ampio Pharmaceuticals (NYSE MKT: AMPE), a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing anti-inflammatory biological treatments. Prior to joining Ampio in 2012, he served as Vice President of Commercial Operations at Arbor Pharmaceuticals, a private specialty pharmaceutical company. Josh joined Arbor Pharmaceuticals as the company’s second employee and oversaw the launch and subsequent growth of the company’s commercial operations. Josh led the commercial organization since the company’s inception and led the launch of the company’s first product, subsequently launching numerous products and scaling the commercial organization across sales, marketing, managed care, sales training, and national accounts. In less than five years, Arbor grew from a company from the pre-commercialization stage and grew product sales to over $250 million.
Prior to joining Arbor, he served as the Director of Marketing at LipoScience (NASDAQ: LPDX), a specialty cardiovascular diagnostic company later acquired by LabCorp (NYSE: LH). Previously, Josh was in sales leadership at Cyberonics (Now LivaNova plc, NASDAQ: LIVN), a medical device company commercializing implantable neuromodulation devices. Josh began his career as a sales representative at Glaxo Wellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline plc). Josh is Zynex’s Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
Ted Delianides, PhD
VP, Photoplethysmography Engineering
Ted has 30+ years of technology development and operations leadership experience in multiple industries including medical devices, optical networks, and lightweight composite materials. Dr. Delianides worked in various start-up companies, including Zolo Technologies, ArmorWorks and A3 Technologies, a technology spin-off from the 1992 America's Cup yacht races. He worked as a staff scientist at Datex-Ohmeda on novel methods of blood pressure measurement. Dr. Delianides holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Aeronautics/Astronautics (minor in Electrical Engineering / Optics) from Stanford University. Prior to co-founding Kestrel Labs and holding the role of COO, Dr. Delianides' held positions as a Project Director (Embedded Monitors) for Zolo Technologies and Vice President R&D/Engineering at ArmorWorks.
Jonas Pologe
VP, Photoplethysmography Research
Jonas has 30+ years of research and engineering experience in the medical device industry and is considered one of the world's foremost experts on the science of pulse oximetry. He was an original member of BIOX, the company that developed the first commercially-viable pulse oximeter and spent 17 years with Datex-Ohmeda (now part of GE Healthcare). In addition to electronic hardware and software engineering, Mr. Pologe's areas of research specialize in photoplethysmographic monitoring and spectrophotometric analysis. He is the author of over 20 patents and numerous peer-reviewed articles. Mr. Pologe holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University and is the former co-founder and CEO of Kestrel Labs. Jonas also formerly held positions of Vice President of R&D, Quartz Medical, and Manager of Research and Chief Scientist for Datex-Ohmeda's Pulse Oximetry business unit.
